Take peppermints (candy cane seeds) and "plant" them in sugar and Christmas sprinkles to have them "grow" and be ready for Santa to take with him on Christmas eve after he drops off gifts! They take 2 days to "grow". The next day after placing the peppermints in the sugar, get minature candy canes to make it appear theyre growing, then on the final day, 12/24, place the standard size candy canes in the sugar then have your kid pick them out to put on Santas cookie plate!! And obviously you need to be replacing the candy canes at night so your child can wake up the next morning thinking they're actually growing
